Where do McDonald’s Cuties Come From? #McDTour

This is a sponsored conversation, in collaboration with McDonald’s. All opinions are my own.

Do you like Cuties? You know, those adorable little Mandarin Oranges that are just bursting with flavor? Yeah, those! I love Cuties, in fact, our whole family loves ’em! I enjoy eating them for a quick pick-me-up or as a snack. Our little can make a meal out of them, eating three or four at a time. I usually eat two, and just 2 Cuties provide an excellent source of Vitamin C, Potassium, Fiber, Folate, Potassium, B-6, Niacin and Antioxidants. ALL THAT in just 2 tiny oranges-amazing! Maybe that’s why McDonald’s recently decided to add them to their menu.

McDonald’s customers can now choose Cuties, Go-Gurt low-fat Strawberry Yogurt, or Apple Slices as a side in both Kids Meals & Mighty Kids Meals. It makes me happy to see new, healthy food options being added to McDonald’s menus.

Did You Know?

Cuties are Non-GMO verified & the best selling Clementine brand in the country. Cuties are grown right here in California! It usually take 2 weeks or less from the time Cuties are harvested in the fields, to the time they arrive at McDonald’s restaurants.

In a couple days, I will be touring the Sun Pacific Orange Groves, to see for myself where Cuties are grown & how they are processed. This will be my third #McDTour, you may recall my tour of Taylor Farms, where I saw the Romaine Lettuce fields and toured the processing plant and my visit to the Chiquita/Fresh Express plant to witness how the apples go from farm to restaurant.

I’m a real McDonald’s customer, and I want to know where the food I eat comes from. Of course, I’ll be sharing everything I learn with all of you, in fact, you can follow along on twitter. Follow me on twitter & look for the #McDTour hashtag. I’ll be posting pics beginning tomorrow evening & all day Friday. I’ll have more for you here on the blog real soon!
