I’m always on the lookout for interesting recipes. I enjoy trying new foods and then introducing my friends to them. The same holds true with beverages! I have a favorite drink I make every holiday season. The recipe was given to me by my MIL. She has Alzheimer’s and no longer cooks, but her special holiday punch lives on through me. I think there’s something very special about that. I will pass the recipe on to my children, and hope they will continue the tradition for years & generations to come.
I was recently introduced to several drinks that would be great to make for a summer party, or maybe an end of summer get-together. They use an ingredient I never would have thought of using, but I’m glad someone did! What’s the ingredient? If you haven’t guessed by now, it’s SlimFast! Yep, you heard me right, Slimfast! Who woulda thunk it?! Not me, that’s for sure. But it makes perfect sense. I don’t know about you, but I’m always trying to “watch what I eat.” We all know that summer parties, or any party for that matter, can be filled with foods and drinks that aren’t kind to our waistlines. SlimFast has partnered up with DR Mixologist, Darryl Robinson, host of “Drink Up” on the Cooking Channel. He’s come up with some great tasting cocktails (and Mocktails!) that feature some of the tastiest & trendiest ingredients of the season. Turns out SlimFast shakes are the perfect base for deliciously creamy summer cocktails/mocktails1 and Darryl’s new recipes contain just 130-190 calories per serving.
Today, I’m going to tell you how to make the Berry Sexy Vanilla Sunrise Mocktail, you can find recipes for 7 more drinks on the website. Check out the new SlimFast cocktail/mocktail recipes and start slimming2 for summer by visiting http://wow.slim-fast.com/cocktailrecipes.pdf
