By now, y’all know I love a good bargain! I also enjoy entertaining, but I don’t want to break the bank in the process. Now that football season is upon us, I’ll be hosting lots of 49’ers parties! I like to take shortcuts whenever possible, and planning a party is no different. Party planning can be stressful, I’ve found that simplicity is the key. Here are a few ways I get ready for a party and keep my sanity intact:
Buy Everything You Need In One Place
This is a no brainer, the less running around I have to do, the better. Family Dollar has everything I need, at prices that make me smile! I can get great munchies, like Quaker Chewy Granola Bars, Nacho Cheese Doritos and Pepsi! It’s not a football party without snacks, right?!
Don’t Forget Cleaning Supplies and WhatNots
Remember, there’ll be extra folks in your house, which means more chances of spills and other accidents. No worries, I picked up some Bounty Paper Towels, to wipe those spills right up. Extra bodies in the house also means more folks using the bathroom (what, we all do it!), so be sure to pick up some toilet paper. Batteries! You cant forget batteries for the TV remote!
Ask For Help!
Don’t be afraid to ask your guests to help you out. I certainly don’t want to spend the entire party in the kitchen, cooking for everyone. I want to enjoy my guests and watch the game too! (Especially when Kaepernick’s playing!) You don’t have to cook everything from scratch, it’s ok to buy something pre-made… like these cute cupcakes!
Ask your friends to bring a covered dish, potlucks are a lot of fun and it’ll save you hours in the kitchen. Make it even more fun by requesting they bring the recipe along with the dish! Good food, friends and new recipes – TOUCHDOWN!
Decorate On The Cheap!
Take a look at the picture below…
See my viewing party sign?! I was able to customize it online & print it out. Know how much it cost me? Nada, nothing, zilch! You can download the sign and printable football banners here, and it’s all FREE! You probably have other football memorabilia laying around the house… jerseys, footballs, posters, toys…bring them all out and use them to decorate on the cheap!
Now that I’ve shared a few of my party planning tips with you, who’s ready for a GIVEAWAY?!
Before we go any further, I’d like to thank Family Dollar, P&G and Pepsi NFL program for sponsoring it! Here’s the prize pack: Prize includes 1 Dawn Dish Detergent, 1 roll of Bounty Paper Towels, & a sample pack of Tide Pods PLUS a $25 GC to Family Dollar!
