On this #GivingTuesday, I wanted to share this with you.
Never be afraid to give too much – when you are a blessing to others, you in turn will be blessed. I speak from experience. Thankful today for yet another outpouring of God’s love.
Blogging has been very good to me. No, I don’t have big numbers. No, I’m not a famous blogger or part of the “in crowd” … truth is, I’ve never been part of the in crowd, so why should blogging be any different. lol! What I DO have is integrity & a heart to help others.
Do I get any of the highly coveted campaigns that others get? 99.9% of the time, no. Oh I apply, but my numbers or my style or something prevents me from getting picked. Does it bum me out? You bet! But you know what? I brush it off, and go right back to doing ME.
Doing me includes helping out my fellow human beings any chance I get. Doing me also includes posting about topics others find “controversial” – I post them anyways, because this is MY life & I have to do what I am called to do. My journey is not your journey. I have lived through things that many will never encounter. I have seen things many will never see. I have experienced pain, humiliation, abuse, loss & betrayal that others will never know. See, you might think you know – but you have no idea. God knows and that’s enough for me.
I have survived all of it so that I can in turn help others, relate to others, yes even inspire others. I believe we are all here on this earth to help one another, and I try to live by that motto daily.
So when I tell you don’t be afraid to give – I do so knowing you will be blessed beyond your wildest dreams. There’s no way I should be getting the blogging campaigns I get, having people reach out to me – no way! But they have & they do.
Am I rollin’ in money? No. Is my life a piece of cake? No. Do I have everything I need? Is my family taken care of? Yes.
Why? God, that’s why. You can’t out give God.
~Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
How will you Give to others today?
