The newly redesigned & remodeled Lucky Supermarket (Lucky California), in Pleasanton, is currently my fave grocery store! Have y’all checked it out yet?
It just opened up last month, and I want to make sure all my local SF Bay Area folks know it’s open.
The store’s address is 6155 W. Las Positas Boulevard in Pleasanton, California.
Along with all the high-quality products you’ve come to expect from Lucky California, (like amazing produce!), the Pleasanton location has a few surprises for you.
First up, is The Eatery. All my fellow foodies will love this! It features cuisine from around the world. I’m talkin’ delicious aromas & mouth-watering flavors, that are sure to take you to flavor town! You’ll relish (see what I did there?) a visit to the Smoke & Fire BBQ, featuring delicioso tri tip, savory pulled pork & juicy burgers. Comfort foods from exotic locales abound, including noodle bowls & delicious fusion wraps with Indian, Japanese & Chinese sauces, Hawaiian side dishes, & Asian slaw. You’ll be able to order directly from the digital menu & can even customize your order.
If you’re gonna eat, you’ll need something to wash it down with, right? That’s where The Drinkery comes in. It’s an ideal place for you to relax & unwind, while taking in an all-new shopping experience. You can enjoy a morning coffee, an afternoon lemonade/iced tea, an after-work craft beer or glass of local wine. Beverages are available throughout the day, from handcrafted coffee drinks and fresh fruit smoothies, to international beers on tap and Livermore Valley wines by the glass. Fusion drinks, including shandies, frozies and sangria, round out The Drinkery’s menu!
Now that things are returning to “normal,” The Entertaining Island is fully stocked. This is the perfect place to find just the right snacks for gatherings with friends & family. The team at the Entertaining Island are ready to help customers create social media-worthy charcuterie & cheese boards, and can suggest the perfect pairings. Guests will also find signature nachos for the big game with house-made tortilla chips, fresh salsa & handmade guacamole. Don’t forget the house made hummus & dips, antipasto, meats, cheeses, olives & on & on!
One of my favorite areas is The Demo Station. This is an experience designed to make guests comfortable with cooking at all levels. The Demo Station will feature interactive cooking demonstrations where guests can watch, taste, and then grab ingredients on the spot, to hone their new-found culinary skills at home. The Demo Station will offer premade sauces and sides, and meal kit solutions complete with premeasured, precut ingredients. I’m SO there!
If you weren’t already impressed, there more! The Meat & Seafood Grill: Lucky California’s Grill Boss is a master griller, well-versed in fresh ingredients, local flavor profiles & the art of choosing and preparing meat, seafood and poultry. The Grill Boss will provide recommendations on everything from selecting the right cut to seasoning and marinating. Guests can choose from a huge selection of quality cuts of meat and seafood, or have a selection cut to order and prepared on the spot. (Read that again: Prepared On The Spot!) Whether seasoning, marinating and grilling a single steak, multiple chicken breasts or a whole fish, the Meat & Seafood Grill provides multiple unique ways to save valuable meal preparation time while serving up fresh, delicious options for a single meal or meals for the entire week. Mind blown!
Lucky California continues to raise the bar, and I’m here for it. Once you see the new Pleasanton location, you’ll be a fan too.
