Hi, I’m Lynda, and Mixed Blessings is my blog. As the writer and photographer here, I strive to provide my audience with relevant information to help them navigate this thing called life. I enjoy writing about food, family, and travel, from a multicultural perspective. As a food, travel, and lifestyle blogger, my freelance work has been featured on Que Rica Vida, Mamiverse, MommyNoire, Moms Rising and Patch.com, to name a few.

Mixed Blessings is a Multicultural Lifestyle Blog, focused on Food, Family, and Travel. As a biracial Latina, married to an African American; our family is a melting pot of cultures. I enjoy writing about all the delicious Mexican meals my Mom made for me, growing up in South Texas. I also enjoy talking about the yummy soul food recipes my MIL has taught me. Enchiladas and Greens are always on our menu!

Travel is something our family can’t get enough of! I want my brown-skinned sons to know travel is for everyone, not just a select few. We fill our passports with stamps every chance we get. Mixed Blessings is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We love Northern California’s vibe. The Bay is beautiful, diverse, and the people here are passionate about life. Whether we’re at the beach (my happy place), in the mountains, chillin’ at the park, or cheering on our favorite sports team, NorCal is home.
