I’m one of those people that believe “everything in moderation.” For the most part, I try to watch what I eat, but I’m not opposed to the occasional treat! I really don’t see anything wrong with it. Yesterday was one of “those” days for me. I was running around all day long, signing up the kids for summer programs, going to various appointments, grocery shopping, dry cleaners, library… I worked up a sweat! As I passed by my local McDonald’s, I knew just what I needed, their new McCafe Dulce de Leche Shake. 
The McCafe Dulce de Leche shake is a Latin-inspired treat, and it’s only available for a short time (until Sept.15th.) It’s made with reduced-fat vanilla ice cream, rich velvety swirls of caramel, topped with whipped cream & a cherry. This is going to be a great treat to help cool you off on those sweltering dog days of summer.

I had one more errand to run, so I did that real quick, then drove home so I could get started on dinner. Before I got busy in the kitchen, I took a few minutes to myself, to relax a bit and cool off. I went out back, sat on the deck and tried my new Dulce de Leche Shake.
