My family loves pasta, I know I can always fall back on a pasta dish when all else fails. I enjoy making pasta because it’s quick and simple. I had an idea for a new meal, so I headed to Lucky Supermarket to purchase my ingredients. I like to hide veggies in my meals, whenever possible, and this is one of those recipes!
In addition to veggies, I thought I’d add another ingredient my family is crazy about- seafood! You can’t go wrong with pasta & seafood, right? I decided to go with an alfredo sauce, as opposed to marinara. I cook with marinara a lot & wanted to change it up a bit. Lucky Supermarket carries a delicious, creamy, alfredo sauce, made by Pacific Coast Selections. It’s in the refrigerated section of the store, near the cheese. Buying refrigerated sauce saves me a ton of time, I really can’t afford to spend hours in the kitchen. Can you?
Here’s what I picked up at Lucky Supermarket, you can view more of my shopping photos on my Google+ album here. This is the sauce you want to look for, pictured below.
I was torn between using spinach or broccoli, so I bought both. I’ll use broccoli this time & spinach next time! I like keeping my recipes simple & easy- with not too many ingredients. The right combination of ingredients is all that matters, you don’t need 20 ingredients to make a satisfying meal.
Here’s the sauce, after I added the broccoli & crab meat- doesn’t it look tasty? My little one won’t mind eating his broccoli now! This meal is guaranteed to become a family favorite in your home. I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I’m tellin’ ‘ya – this one is delicious! OMG! Be prepared to make it often, because your hubby & kids will be asking for it… a lot! Best part is it’s so easy to make, it’ll be a breeze to replicate again & again! Add a little salad & garlic bread & you’re talkin’ fine dining!
