This is part of a sponsored campaign with the California Milk Processor Board and Latina Mom Bloggers. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
Those of you that know me, know that I’m a Milkaholic! We buy 4 gallons of milk a week, 2 of those are just for me! Growing up, I wasn’t allowed to drink soda, kool-aid or juice… just milk, nothing but milk. Some kids would have gotten tired of it and strayed once they became adults… not me! Milk is my drink of choice, there’s nothing like a tall glass of ice cold milk! When I was asked to participate in this #TomaLeche (Drink Milk) Campaign, I literally jumped for joy! YES!
Even though we already buy 4 gallons of milk a week, this time of year, I tend to buy more. Holidays mean lots of cooking, baking, and preparing special treats for my family. A common ingredient in many of my dishes is Milk. Before I go any further, I want to let you know about a sweet coupon to save money on your next milk purchase. We all know it’s hard to find coupons for milk, so please download this $1 off coupon here. (It’s good for $1 off two gallons of milk, download it now, before you forget!)
Where was I? Oh yeah, preparing goodies for the Holidays! I have quite a few Halloween recipes up my sleeve, but some of them are rather complicated (at least for my little one, and he likes to help out in the kitchen.) I decided to make something he could make, without much help from Mom. Doesn’t it look spooky?! That’s my Halloween Milkshake! It’s super easy to make, and tastes great! Best of all, it’s made with MILK and my little one LOVES it!
- 1 container Pacific Coast Selections Alfredo Sauce
- 1 9oz package linguine noodles
- 1 16oz bag of chopped broccoli
- 1 16oz can crab meat
- Boil noodles according to package directions. Once done, drain & set aside. In pan, heat broccoli and crab meat until warm. Add alfredo sauce to pan and stir everything until well mixed. Plate linguine and spoon broccoli, crab, & alfredo sauce mixture over pasta. Enjoy!
- I added a dash of Italian seasoning to my recipe- but it's not necessary.
What’s your favorite milk-based recipe?!
