Turks and Caicos…Welcome Home!

October 28, 2014

Y’all! I have SO much to share with you, I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve spent the last week, trying to put everything I experienced in #TurksandCaicos into words and I just can’t, at least not yet. From the most exotic vacation ever, beautiful people, renewing our wedding vows, helping underprivileged school children, to creating awesome memories with our youngest-this trip was EVERYTHING!

First, Turks & Caicos, in the Caribbean, is GORGEOUS! You are going to freak when I post pics…but I don’t want to do that just yet.

Before I blow you out of the water (see what I did there?!) with fabulous pics, I want to mention the PEOPLE of Turks & Caicos, and especially everyone we met that worked at the resorts we stayed in.

I’ve lived in Hawaii before, so I know all about the Aloha Spirit, and good hospitality. This was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced before…anywhere! EVERYONE at Beaches Resort and Coral Gardens on Grace Bay treated us like family. FAMILY! In fact, they treated us so well, that when we go back (and we will be going back!) we are going to take them all some goodies, to show them how much we appreciate all they did for us during our stay.

Over and over again, we were told, “Welcome Home!” and that’s exactly what it felt like, like coming home after a long absence. Now I understand that the tourist industry is a business and that these people were working, but they really made us feel wanted-and they made our trip so very special. They made us want to go back, matter-of-fact, they made us want to stay there and never return to the States!

As we left, we embraced these people that we now consider Family. I kept asking myself, “Do these people really know how wonderful they are? How their words, actions, and deeds have meant the world to me during this trip?” I hope they do, I want them to know that above everything else, the beautiful location, the luxe accommodations, the fantastic food, and that beach, THEY are the main reason I want to return to Turks & Caicos. THEY made my visit to paradise one that I will always cherish. Turks & Caicos has a special place in our hearts & it always will. I hope you’ll enjoy my posts.
