Have you seen the 3 year old fashionista? She was on the Today Show, and she’s adorable! Watching her reminded me of my own little guy, when he was her age. He’s always liked clothes and definitely has his own sense of style. I used to buy him a lot of outfits made by my friends that sew. Nowadays, he prefers to wear Tea clothing… which I don’t mind- because I love their clothes as much as he does, and they’re local to the SF Bay Area. He’s also big into Mini Boden- we both share a love of colorful clothing.
I went through some of the old photos I took of him in some of his favorite outfits, he’s grown so much! He’s still a cutie though. Here’s my little man, struttin’ his stuff for the camera. 
Isn’t he just the cutest?! My own little GQ model. He may have outgrown these outfits, but he still loves buying clothes and having me snap pics of him in them…and I hope that never changes. I want my little man to feel confident and secure in the way he looks. And I want him to always feel comfortable in the skin he’s in. I’m constantly lifting him up, telling him how lucky he is to have curly hair and skin that tans so easily.
As the mother of a multiracial child, it’s my job to build him up-because I know there will be many that will try to tear him down.
