Recently, I was invited to try Dream Dinners (2013 Camden Ave location) in San Jose, CA. I got to prep several meals & bring them home to cook and sample with my family. Little did I know how handy those meals would end up being.
Dream Dinners is my kinda place. One of the things I really dislike about cooking is all the clean up I have to do afterwards. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE to cook, but cleaning up is something I could do without, how ’bout you?! Dream Dinners takes all the mess outta cooking. All the ingredients for your meals are already prepped & waiting for you. Before you even arrive, you’ve picked your menu and the good folks at Dream Dinners have done all the slicing & dicing! There are several prep stations laid out and you assemble each of your meals at a different station – think “assembly line.”
There’s an ingredient list for each meal you prepare. The list tells you exactly how much the recipe calls for, but you know the best part? If you love garlic, then go right ahead & add as much as you’d like. Don’t like garlic, then just omit that ingredient. That’s right, you can customize each recipe & make it the way you & YOUR family like!
After I assembled all the ingredients for my meals, (which took about an hour) I placed them into the cooler I had in my car & headed home. Once I got home, I placed each of the gallon baggies into my freezer. Over the next couple of weeks I cooked the meals for dinner and we enjoyed each & every one of them! I was surprised Hubby liked all of them, he’s pretty picky.
And then it happened!
I injured my foot and was put in an aircast, that was over a month ago & I’m STILL in it. Being in a cast, not able to walk, in extreme pain… making dinner was the last thing on my mind. That’s when it hit me, I still had some Dream Dinners in the freezer! YAY!
All we had to do was pop them in the oven and dinner was served! No running to the store to purchase ingredients, no chopping of onions, no messing up the kitchen! Everything we needed to prepare a delicious meal was waiting in our freezer.
Dream Dinners has everything you need to create fantastic dinners: entrees-side dishes- and desserts. Their menu changes every month – that’s appealing to me because sometimes I get in a rut and tend to cook the same meals over & over.
Dream Dinners runs lots of promos & specials, making it affordable to try out. If you’re near San Jose, CA, please stop by 2013 Camden Ave or call them at 408-363-3968.
