Soccer has been a constant in our lives since our little man was 4…he is now 9. I remember his first practice; he was so excited about learning how to play. When he arrived at the field & he saw all the other kids, most a couple years older than him, he got nervous. He spent the remainder of that practice (and a few after that) glued to my side, too afraid to join in the fun.
When he did finally feel comfortable enough to leave my side, I got to watch him blossom! I saw him not only learning the sport of soccer, but making new friends & spreading his tiny little wings.
He has not missed a season of soccer yet. Summer league, Fall league, we’re right there on the field. Our weekdays are spent at soccer practice and our weekends at soccer games & tournaments.
Our little Pele-in-training recently discovered MLS (Major League Soccer) on TV. With Xfinity X1 & Xfinity Latino, we get to watch ALL the games we want! With our Xfinity X1 Voice Activated Remote Control, my little man can watch all the games he desires with just one word: “Soccer!”
This summer is going to be full of GREAT soccer, and our familia is looking forward to watching it all, it’s going to be the summer of soccer! Here’s what we’ll be watching, in between going to soccer games:
Copa America | Summer Olympics | World Cup Qualifiers | UEFA EURO 2016 | Major League Soccer (MLS)
Even while we’re AT our little’s soccer games; we can still check out all the games on TV with the XFINITY X1 sports app! Hubby likes to use it to check scores and stats in real time & to see what is playing now and what’s coming up.
Sometimes we watch the games in Espanol … my little guy is eager to learn Spanish & this is one way to help him learn. He cracks up every time the announcer yells “GOOOOOOOOL!”, so do I. Watching soccer games together, as a family, is something we enjoy. (Sometimes I just let the guys watch their games & I sit back & relax…shhh, don’t tell anyone!)
If you love soccer as much as we do, I hope you have Xfinity X1, because soccer on X1 is muy bueno!
