Last weekend I met up with a few fellow bloggers for breakfast. It was supposed to be brunch, but it was still early, so I’m callin’ it breakfast. We went to a restaurant that none of us had ever been to before, at the suggestion of my fave food blogger, Dawn. My girl was on point with this one, because the food was hella good! OH.MY.GOODNESS.
Ladies & Gentlemen, I give you Denica’s Real Food Kitchen, in Dublin, CA. Run by a husband & wife team -she’s originally from Spain, professionally trained with a background in magnificent custom cakes…he’s known as the “Cookie Man” & bakes up scrumptious cookies- together they make magic in the kitchen!
When we pulled into the parking lot I could see that all the outdoor seats were filled, and there appeared to be a line to get in. While I don’t care for long lines, it’s always encouraging to see folks waiting to be seated when you’re trying out a new eatery. If it wasn’t good, there wouldn’t be a line, right?
As I walked in, I was a bit overwhelmed (in a good way) with how many people were inside. Some already seated eating their meals, while others were standing in line to place their orders. I quickly got in line and started reading the menu board on the wall. I also couldn’t help but notice all the yummy looking cookies in the display case up front (and the plates of cookie samples on the counter!) I was feeling good about this new place & eager to order breakfast.
I couldn’t decide between eggs benedict, french toast, or eggs & pancakes … so I asked the cashier to help me decide. French Toast is what she recommended, so French Toast it was! One by one my blogging buddies arrived to the restaurant & placed their orders. Once were were seated, I watched the waitresses bring out plate after plate of delicious looking food.
Then it was our turn! I must say, Denica’s Real Food Kitchen did not disappoint. Large portions, flavorful food, at an affordable price. There were six of us and were were all impressed with our meals. But don’t take my word for it, look at these photos of our plates and then go try Denica’s for yourself!
