This past weekend was the grand opening of model homes at Oliveto in Mountain House, California. The newest addition in the popular Mountain House masterplan, Oliveto offers four inspired floor plans. Starting from the high-$500,000s, the homes are comfortably spacious, ranging from 2,120 to 2,620 square feet. These 2-story plans include 3 to 6 bedroom options. I was in attendance at the grand opening and want to share my thoughts.
Located east of Livermore, just over the Altamont Pass, Mountain House California offers a hometown feeling. You’ll find vibrant, diverse neighborhoods. There are places to eat, shop, and play nearby. I’ve been to several grand openings in Mountain House. With each visit, I fall for it a little more. Driving up to the Welcome Center, I passed a field with a herd of grazing cows. How cool is that? Imagine going for a walk or bike ride with your family and seeing that? My kids would LOVE it! Oliveto is just steps away from nearby parks & Mountain House High School.
The Richmond American Homes at Oliveto were quite impressive. They featured open floor plans. The upstairs loft area sold me right off the bat. I’m all for an area that the kids can take over and call their own. It would also make a great “man cave” or family room, you decide what works best for your tribe.
Richmond American Homes have lots of included features and hundreds of exciting personalization options, such as gourmet kitchens, casitas and covered patios. The gourmet kitchens are another big seller for me. The double ovens and huge islands with sinks are great for entertaining. The covered patios in the backyard were made for hosting parties!
I liked the large walk-in showers too! And speaking of walk-in, the walk-in closet in the master bedroom of the Sanford model blew me away! It was literally the same size as our youngest’s current bedroom. Please don’t tell my son! Lol! Another thing that caught my eye were the linen closets. I don’t know about you, but I need lots of closet space. One model home even had two linen closets! Trust me when I tell you I’d fill both those bad boys up!
