Goodbye 2020

December 31, 2020

This is a sponsored conversation, in collaboration with Skylawn Memorial Park. All opinions are mine.2020

This year has been extremely tough, for lots of reasons. Covid-19 changed everything, and continues to impact our lives.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say goodbye to 2020. In doing so, I hope to leave all the bad stuff behind, and make way for the good stuff!

Through it all, I am still thankful. I’m thankful my family has been spared from the virus. I’m thankful for a roof over our heads, and food on our table.

2020 has opened my eyes to many things. I learned more about myself this year. I’m capable of far more than I imagined. My faith has grown, and I’ve seen my child’s faith grow too.

Many tears have been shed. Seeing so many suffer & lose family members has been devastating. This virus is scary. Our children are frightened, we, as parents, are too. Our mental health has been bruised and battered. Life is difficult right now.

I’m thankful for family and friends (both real and online) who check in on me. These kind souls have lifted me up many times. I try to do the same for them. We need each other now, more than ever.

I truly believe we are on this earth to help one another.

Now that a vaccine has been made available, I’m hopeful things will slowly get back to “normal.” Our kids want to return to their schools. Our businesses are eager to open their doors to customers. We all long for life pre-Covid.

As we say goodbye to 2020, let’s make a vow to always remember what’s really important. For me, that’s Family, Faith, Love, Health, and Hope.

My wish for all of you in 2021? Love, Peace, and Happiness.

Please continue to wear a mask, social distance, and wash your hands.

Hello 2021! Please be kind to us. We’ve been through a lot. ❤️
