#Smoovember Smoothies & a Hamilton Beach Blender Giveaway! #Ambassador

November 30, 2013

I’m a Hamilton Beach Ambassador & have been provided sample blenders to facilitate this review & giveaway. No other compensation has been provided. All thoughts are mine.

Recently something wonderful happened… I was chosen to be a Hamilton Beach Ambassador. Yay!

HB Ambassador 1

While I’m honored to be an Ambassador for Hamilton Beach, I’m even more excited about what this means for you- my readers! I’m going to be reviewing numerous Hamilton Beach products, and offering GIVEAWAYS to all of you. And I’m kicking off my giveaways TODAY!

Smoovember_PrizePack_3 I was sent 2 blenders to try out. I will only be reviewing one blender today, so that each one gets the time they deserve. First up, is the Smoothie Smart Blender (56206), that’s the larger, black one in the photo above.

“The Smoothie Smart™ Blender delivers on the blending performance people ask for most, instead of piling on a lot of expensive features they don’t need. Aside from affordability, what do people want most in a blender? They want to make a perfect smoothie. They expect drinks and pureed mixtures to come out smooth every time. And last but not least, people would like to pour into a glass without making a mess.56222-inset04

Until the Smoothie Smart™ Blender, doing all those things — and doing them well — was a hit-or-miss proposition. Not anymore. The Smoothie Smart™ Blender prepares a perfect smoothie with the press of a button: Auto Smoothie. This 45-second smart blending cycle is programmed with the precise pulses and speeds needed to get the job done right. At the end of the cycle, the blender shuts off automatically.56206-inset01

To create a smooth texture every time, the Smoothie Smart™ Blender is equipped with the Wave~ Action® System patented by Hamilton Beach. During blending, the Wave~ Action® System is specifically designed to pull the ingredients down into the blades, so there is no need to stop and stir the mixture.56206-inset04

The Smoothie Smart™ Blender doesn’t stop there. Its patented no-mess spout directs contents into the cup instead of dripping down the sides of the jar or all over the kitchen counter. For easy cleanup afterwards, any stickiness on its smooth touchpad is quickly wiped away and its cord stores neatly out of sight.”56206-inset05

What I liked about this blender, was how easy it was to use! Nothing complicated, no extra buttons, just the ones I need to get the job done! I also really love that it has a pour spout… I’m a bit of a klutz, so every little bit helps. 😉 No more spills for me. Lastly, it’s affordable, retails for $40- times are tough & I’m all about saving money.

I decided to make a Strawberry/Banana Smoothie, because I LOVE strawberries and I had a couple bananas that needed to be eaten! I found some organic strawberries on sale at Safeway, so I snatched them up. Here’s the finished product, you know you want some!

Now that you know how to make my smoothie, I think it’s time for a giveaway! This giveaway is for the Smoothie Smart Blender (56206), just like the black one I used to make my smoothie. (I’ll be doing another review & giveaway for the Single Serve Blender soon!)

Ingredients
  1. 1 banana
  2. 1 ripe avocado, halved, pitted and peeled
  3. 1 cup 2% milk
  4. 3 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  5. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. ground cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Place the banana- peeled and chopped up, in a bowl, place bowl in the freezer.
  2. Once frozen, place the banana, avocado, milk, sugar and vanilla extract in blender.
  3. Blend at high speed until creamy and smooth.
  4. Pour into glasses, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top.
Notes
  1. You can adjust the sugar to your individual taste- I only used 1 tablespoon for mine. Also, if the smoothie is too thick for you, only use 1/2 the avocado-or increase the milk, either way will work.
