2015 Mitsubishi Mirage – Commuter’s Dream!

January 24, 2015

A one week vehicle loan was provided to facilitate this review, no monetary compensation was received. All opinions are mine.

My first car review! This cutie is the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage, in Sapphire Blue. It’s a 4-door hatchback. The first thing I noticed, was that the interior was much roomier than I thought it’d be, considering it’s a subcompact car. Our 7 year old’s car seat fit in the back seat with no problem.

Here’s a little peek at the inside, including the One Touch Stop/Start Engine Switch & the optional Navigation Screen & Rearview Camera.

The car handled well, and had enough pep for me to be able to take it on the highway with no problems. (I wasn’t putt-putting along, like a few other compact cars I passed on the road!) I went to the grocery store and did my weekly shopping, kinda worried that all my bags wouldn’t fit in the back. I was pleasantly surprised when they did! (12 plastic grocery bags).

The gas mileage was crazy good! I drove around all week & the needle barely moved. In fact, the 2015 Mirage is the most fuel-efficient gas-powered non-hybrid in America.

2015 Mitsubishi Mirage What Hubby Liked: Gas mileage, hands down! He thought the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage was perfect for the commuter. He also really liked that it comes with a 10-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty.

What I Liked: Gas mileage and the fact that I could pretty much park wherever I wanted to! (I can’t do that in my Minivan). I was able to slip into the tiniest parking spaces with ease…and I was a Parallel Parking Queen in this car! I also really liked the Rearview Camera.

What Our Little Liked: He was fascinated with the Rearview Camera and thought the car was cute because it’s small like him.

What We Didn’t Like: I’m the only one adding something to this category this time around. Whenever I made a turn, it didn’t feel like the steering wheel came all the way back to the original position once the turn was completed. Hubby didn’t have a problem, so maybe it was just me…still thought I should mention it.

This car would be great for a commuter, excellent for the first time car buyer, and is extremely affordable.IMG_1913-001
