Today marks the premiere of a new series for preschoolers called Wishenpoof. Amazon premieres all 13 episodes of the children’s animated Amazon Original Series Wishenpoof TODAY, for Amazon Prime members in the U.S, U.K, and Germany.
The main character is a little brown-haired girl named Bianca, and she’s fierce! I love this kid, she’s such a powerful role model for all little ones. Wishenpoof was created by Angela C. Santomero, the very same person behind Blue’s Clues and Super Why. I was able to review the series and I gotta tip my hat to Ms. Santomero – Wishenpoof is going to empower a whole generation of little ones.
Take a peek at this video:
This series has a much more ‘mature’ vibe than some of the other preschool shows out on the market, and that really appealed to me. Today’s kids are tech-savvy and just way more sophisticated than past generations. This series takes that into consideration and it really shows in the topics the series tackles. The activist in me loves how Bianca speaks up for herself & others. Children need to learn how to solve problems on their own and Wishenpoof will give them the tools to realize they can do just that.
I couldn’t help but notice the diversity of the cast. YES! As a biracial Mother of multicultural children- this is HUGE! My kids need to see children on the TV screen that look like them, characters they can relate to. Wishenpoof gets that, so once again-thank you to Ms. Santomero!
This new series has a little something for everyone: rainbows, unicorns, catchy songs, and just a touch of “wish magic” … what more could you ask for? It’s also an interactive show, Bianca will often say something to the viewers … my little one loves when main characters do that! I love the positive messages each show imparts – and the life lessons the viewer will learn by watching it.
