I’d like to make a confession. I have a huge sweet tooth! Surely I’m not the only one, right?! Who else has a sweet tooth out there; raise your hand high in the air so I can see it. I put this post together with you in mind-my fellow sweet lovers… and bakers…because somebody’s gotta bake all them delicious treats!
I’m not much of a candy eater, unless it’s Mounds or Almond Joy … or Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. But give me a chocolate cupcake, or a slice of cheesecake, or my Fruit Pizza that I only make around the holidays & watch out! I not only like consuming baked goodies, I actually enjoy doing the baking.
I think I get it from my Grandmother, she was a HUGE baker. I can remember watching her work her magic in the kitchen, baking her delicious chocolate cake from scratch…and then making the yummy chocolate frosting from scratch and letting me lick the spatula afterwards. I watched her make peanut brittle & divinity (some of y’all have probably never even had divinity, and I was blessed enough to not only taste it, but watch it being made!) She’d always make a coconut cream pie for my Grandfather’s birthday, that pie was ah-mazing!
To give you an idea of what kind of baker my Grandmother was, she had a KitchenAid Mixer, in the 70’s! She was hardcore. You can be hardcore too, you just need the right tools for the job.
